Some friends and I have gotten together to bring you a Back to School Giveaway! We know that you are probably gearing up to head back to school (and some of you have been back for a week or 2)!
So, we all teamed up and we are giving away a $40 Teachers Pay Teachers gift card for you to spend at the back to school sale that is happening August 1-2!
Here are the amazing teacher-bloggers that are bringing you this gift card! Click on the blog buttons to go to their blogs. Then, below each button is a link to the stores where you can add lots of things to your cart for the SALE!
Ugh… Lunch count. I can never remember to do it. That and taking my attendance. Can’t there be a lunch count and attendance fairy that comes to my room each morning and does it for me? Can’t I just teach?!
Maybe I can hire a 6th grader to come do it for me. Yes, we have 6th graders at our elementary school. Don’t even get me started. Most of those 11 and 12 year olds should be no where near my precious 6 year olds. They are a different breed and bless all of you teachers out there who teach anything with raging hormones. Give me tying shoes and loose teeth and bandaids making everything all better any day.
Hello friends! I am so excited to be bringing you my first grade classroom tour today! :) I usually post a tour before school even starts, but this year I decided to wait until we were a few weeks in. I’m really glad I did b/c a real classroom has students in it every day- and this is how my room currently looks!
When I started getting my pictures ready to post, I started to stress out a little because my pictures aren’t the best. I took them in a rush on Friday before leaving, I took them with my camera phone, and my room has no natural lighting. However, I’m posting them anyway because I figure that everyone who reads this is a real teacher anyway and you most likely would face the same issues if you were taking pics of your room! So, my perfectionist tendencies are just going to have to get over it! :)
I’m not going to explain a whole lot about my classroom tour because I know you just want the pictures anyway… I usually do! :) Let me know if you have questions!
I’m headed back to school tomorrow. I’ve been thoroughly trained during this last week of PD and my classroom is mostly ready. My lesson plans are written, copies are made, and books are ready. Everyone is in full on prep mode! I’ve been seeing a lot of thoughtful, reasonable, and well written blog posts out there about all the things you should or should not do in your classroom. But what kind of blogger would I be if I didn’t add my 2 cents into the mix? So here I go! :)
Hello sweet friends! I just wanted to share with you a quick and easy back to school gift that I actually made with stuff I already had in my house! I am going to give this little gift to my teammates, but you could give it to anyone in your school. If you are a parent, this would also be a great gift for your child’s teacher!
I am here to tell you about how I manage my small group lesson plans. I don’t know about you, but the less notebooks/binders/lesson plans I have to keep up with throughout the day, the better. I also don’t use a typical lesson plan book. I bought a notebook from Target that had about 90 pages in it and I glued in a lesson plan template every week. That being said, I had extra room in my lesson plan book for my small group lesson plans. Read more
