Watercolor Cursive Alphabet Posters with Real Animal Photos

When I made the switch from first grade to third grade, I was actually very excited to start teaching cursive! I have never had great cursive myself, so honestly I was excited to improve my own handwriting while teaching my students.

I made these posters so my students would have a good example when they were practicing their cursive. I knew I needed the letters to be big enough to see from their desks, while also including a graphic for student who still needed that concrete connection.

I decided to put real photos of animals on these posters rather than clip art to help my 3rd graders feel a little more mature. The watercolor background fit perfectly with the colors in my classroom as well.

There are 7 beautiful background colors included, so you can choose which ones you’d like to print. Every letter is available in every color- red, orange, yellow, blue, green, purple, and pink. My classroom is red, green, and blue, so those are the ones I used!
