Teacher’s Transition Toolbox

I’ve been working on a new product and was finally able to debut it in my classroom this week!
There are 41 different math skill cards and I printed them on blue cardstock. Then, I hole-punched the cards and put them on a binder ring… now I can just grab them and take them with me anywhere!

Making the Most of Restroom Breaks

As you can see from my Classroom Schedule post, we take a LOT of restroom breaks as a class. I don’t like for kiddos to be gone during instructional time and it really bothers me when they ask to go only because someone else did. The ideal situation would be to have a RR in our room, but that’s only for K at my school. So the next best thing is class RR breaks. I try to do them when we are already out of the classroom to save on time. To help make them not be a complete waste of time, I have a series of games I play with my students.

First Grade Morning Routines

First off, I have had one crazy weekend! I went to the ER on Saturday morning because of some severe abdominal pain and then I ended up having my gall bladder removed on Sunday afternoon! I’ve never had surgery before so I was a little nervous, but everything ended up going well and I am now back at home recovering. Unfortunately, I am out the whole week! So, what else is there to do besides catch up on my blogging? Here is a post I’ve had planned for a while and finally had time to type. Enjoy!
