Welcome to the “Deep in the Heart of Texas” blog hop! Over 40 Texas teacher bloggers have joined together to share what we love about our state as well as ideas and freebies that we love. You will also have the opportunity to enter to win TpT products and/or TpT gift certificates by entering using the rafflecopters included in each post. Down at the bottom, you will see all of the blogs participating in the hop. Just click and you will be taken to their posts. We hope you love what you find. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Have you checked out my Manipulative Task Cards yet? These can be used with any center/station model you have.
We started doing our BUILD math stations this week and the kids just love it. (To find out more about BUILD math stations, use the link at the top of my page or click here.) On Tuesday, the first thing I introduced was the I basket because that’s where they are just doing independent reading with math books. I also introduced the U basket as one of the first ones because for U they are using manipulatives, and most of my kiddos had used manipulatives in Kinder and we also practiced using them appropriately last week.
So sorry to everyone who has e-mailed and asked about BUILD Math Stations! I have had such a busy and exciting first 6 weeks of school! Here is an entire post dedicated to everything I know about BUILD Math Stations. Please feel free to leave me a message asking any questions. Thanks for your interest!
BUILD is not a curriculum, it is a management piece for Math Stations. Each letter stands for something different and you choose activities/assignments for students to complete. The BEST thing about BUILD is that you can tweak it to fit your teaching and your classroom.
