I realized that I hardly ever post anything personal! At first, when I started blogging (on a rare cold and snowy day here in Texas… over 2 years ago!) I wanted this to really be just a school related blog.
I guess I started feeling sort of boxed in on my posts lately because I just really felt the urge to get personal with you guys!
I wanted to share a little bit about *ME*. No product links, no linky party, no school pictures.
When you love your job as much as most of us do, it’s really easy to forget to have a life. I have to remind myself sometimes to put the computer down and stop thinking about what I can make for my kiddos and just be a person instead of a teacher.
Here is a little bit about me:
Name: Cassie Age: 25
Spouse: Jonathan Years Married: 4 years on Nov. 21
Children: Not yet… hubby is still in school for another year
Furbabies:
Molly- Lacy mix that we found on the street when she was only about 4 months old. She had Parvo but we didn’t know it until we had decided to keep her. Dropping her at the vet and not knowing if I’d see her alive again was the hardest thing I’ve ever done!
She’s our feisty and brave girl.
Cruz- We decided to get Molly a friend and we went to PetCo adoptions one rainy Saturday. My husband walked around while I waited at the back of the store with Molly. A little while later, he brings over a beautiful brindle Pit Bull/Shepherd mix. His foster mom said he was about 1 and a half years old and that he’d been in foster care his whole life. He was looking for his forever home. Well, he got one with us!
He is our sweet and loving boy.
Favorite pastime: reading light fiction books…
I love to just get sucked into someone else’s life!
Favorite summer activity: swimming with my niece (she’s almost 2)
Astrological sign: Scorpio
3 words another person would use to describe my personality: considerate, nerdy, playful
Fun fact: My niece was born on my birthday, November 3rd.
It was the best birthday present I’ve ever gotten!
She has totally got me wrapped around her little finger.

I also wanted to share some pics of the hubs and I on our recent Sunday Funday outing.
We went to QT to get treats for the first stop. Quiktrip has everything! Hubby loves their hotdogs and I like the taquitos :)
Then, we headed to Putt-Putt to play some arcade games. I was kind of disappointed because they don’t do tokens anymore; they have point cards.
We had so much fun! There was a game called ‘Speed of Light’ where you have to hit the lights as fast as you can. That’s hubby playing it in the upper right corner.
I got 200 tickets on a lucky wheel spin. :) Those are my tickets on the bottom middle.
We got tons of tickets and I was able to get a LOT of stuff for my treasure chest. I love playing games and then the tickets don’t go to waste!
Hubby also got a giant 2 pound eraser to use for school. He was so excited! :)
We ended the day snuggled up on the couch with our pups watching L&O SVU.

Sometimes we need to get a little personal, we really never get the chance too. I enjoyed reading your post. Thank you for taking the time to post it. Can you believe that you and your husband have been married four years?! Time flies when you are in love with the love of your life.
A little secret: I am a somewhat a perfectionist; so I just had to delete the original post so that I could fix a mistake I made.
We have the same anniversary – just ten years apart. We were married November 21, 1998! I loved reading about YOU. Thanks for sharing!
