This week is jam-packed and short! We were off Monday and I am DRA testing on Wednesday, so that leaves only 3 teaching days. Friday is also an assembly day and the last day of the 6 weeks, so I’ll be scrambling to get grades in. I don’t really have time to do the fancy visual plans with all the pictures and links, so I’m just going to give you an overview! :)
We’ll be using a few different resources to learn all about President’s Day.
Here is an ABC order freebie that I made.

This is a great little unit with timelines, making words, and comparing the 2 presidents.

Here is a hat we will be making about our George Washington facts.

I hope you have a fantastic week! Thanks for stopping by to read this short and sweet peek at my week.
We haven’t had many snow days this year, so our 100th day of school was February 7th. Here are a few pictures of the activities we did! Since it was on a Friday, I actually didn’t have a ton of time due to library and spelling tests. However, the kids loved what we did get to do!
In case you are a procrastinator like me were too busy this week and haven’t made your V-day cards for your kids yet, I have a FREEBIE for you! :)
This post is going to be a mash up of a few different topics, so sit back and enjoy the random :)
Today is a SNOW DAY here in North Texas, which is actually more like an ice day.
So, I haven’t blogged in a few weeks because I really didn’t have anything to blog about… I have a serious case of writer’s blogger’s block. Does anyone else ever feel that way? I haven’t felt inspired to create any new products or to write a post that other people will read. I’ve just been truckin along in my room, staying busy with my class. (Have I mentioned how much I love my class this year? Because I do.)
Basically this post is a photo dump of some things we’ve been learning about the past 2 weeks. Enjoy!
These are seriously my new favorite books! I had NEVER heard of Elmer the Elephant until a couple weeks ago when my teammate brought her son’s books up. I fell in love! So I made this Elmer Math & Literacy unit. I think the Elmer books are a great way to teach many different skills- Text Connections, Adjectives, Character Analysis, Colors… it goes on and on!
