I always LOVE when I come across a blog post that details a week’s worth of plans and so I wanted to share with you all what I did for Earth Day this year.

Retelling Bookmarks (Freebie)
I recently created a Retelling/Reading Strategy bookmark.
Feel free to download! I printed mine on pretty cardstock and laminated them so that *hopefully* they will last… we’ll see about that! :)
When you print double sided it *should* line up. I uploaded it as a pdf so hopefully the formatting won’t come out funky!
Bats, Owls, and Birds… Oh My! (Freebie)
So right now we are learning all about Bats, Birds, and Owls. We are comparing Bats to Birds and then more specifically Bats to Owls and we are doing a lot of great thinking. I wanted to share some of our Thinking Maps that we are working on and also some of our fun crafts.
First, we read Stellaluna and then did a Bats/Birds Double Bubble map.
Book Bin Labels for Organizing Your Classroom Library! (Freebie)
I have recently been organizing and labeling all of my books. Two of my teammates from last year retired, so I inherited a LOT of their books! (SCORE!) It has really been a lot of fun (but a lot of work) sorting, labeling, and putting them all into a database. So as a fun and cutesy project (which I LOVE), I decided to make labels for the books I put out for my kiddos. I Googled images for each category and put them all into a table on Word. Then I printed, cut, and glued each one to Safari themed cardstock. Then I laminated it to make sure it was durable.
