This little ole’ blog has sure seen some tumbleweeds the couple of months. I’ve been a little busy teaching routines and wrangling six year olds and making sure no one got lost and tying shoes and OH YEAH, teaching!

I’m sure you can relate.

So now here it is, the most wonderful time of the year.

Cue the carols. And the holiday treats!

I really can’t even believe it is December 5th. I feel like I just met my kids! But I’ll tell you something… I”m so happy that the back to school jitters are over and that learning names and sorting school supplies is a thing of the past. And I’ll tell you a little secret. I prefer the second half of the year anyway. Does anyone else feel like they don’t actually get into the meat of teaching until January? Something about being away from my kids for 2 weeks that makes them seem so much more with it and ready for all the teaching I have to cram in!

This precious thing helped me whip up a Christmas freebie just for you. I paid her in pupperoni sticks.

That’s her sister and her dad in the background. They didn’t help at all. Well, her dad might have helped by refilling my coffee cup and bringing me a blanket when I got cold. He’s good like that.

These are about as gifty as I get these days. I’m a ‘words of affirmation’ girl, so things like this are my go-to.

Now I’m off to finish my Saturday list… not getting out of my sweatpants, snuggling my pups, drinking coffee, surfing the internet, and binging on Netflix. You know, the important stuff. :)
